An Endowment that benefits the only full day elementary Greek School in New England |
|
The Hellenic American Academy’s roots date back to 1906, when the board of the Holy Trinity Church of Lowell, Massachusetts felt it was essential to have a school in which Greek descendants could maintain teachings of culture, tradition and language to its offspring.
The Hellenic American Academy Endowment Trust was started in the year 2000 with the goal of increasing the school’s revenue base. The Hellenic American Academy is the sole beneficiary of the interest the fund generates.
We do feel the school is a a gem, However, we realize with the changing demographics of the church it soon will no longer be able to carry the burden of the school.
The inception of our trust and our ability to raise substantial donations in order to secure the future of the school is essential to its survival. Our goal is to reach a minimum of one million dollars. After all it is our children that are the future of Hellenism in this country! |
